For sale is a Twin Disc Marine Transmission. Model No. MG-5111-A. This is part of an estate sale. We have no personal knowledge from the owner of its condition. The only information we have been able to obtain on the transmission is direct from the mechanic who worked on it. The mechanic made the following statements regarding the transmission1. The mechanic stated he placed all new bearings and gaskets in the transmission2. The mechanic stated the transmission pump on it was ran probably 20 hours on a different transmission by the owner, and then the mechanic placed it on this transmission. Stated it was in good shape3. The mechanic stated in the front area of the transmission, where it couples to the engine, there is a ring with rubber pieces, the rubber pieces did not get changed4. The mechanic stated the owner was planning to put this transmission on his commercial fishing boat, because he could drive the hydraulic system off of the back of it, and eliminate the belt drive hydraulic system that originally came on the boat5. The mechanic believes he wrapped it up, pickled and painted it6. The mechanic stated it has never been ran. Again we have no personal knowledge of this7. The mechanic stated he can not remember if he packed the pump with grease, but usually does that way it will prime itself when it is started.Please see the pictures for further information on the transmission.
