Here is a Variac powerstat by Superior Electric Company. It is usa made. I see a number of 8p296 on the unit. Someone put a pulley system on the unit to activate it via pulley, so it has different marks on the side of the unit for different voltages. Check out the pictures. It is a tested working unit. It has the power box on the front with grounded plugs as well. It is a tested working unit. It has some cracks in the power cord that do not affect the operation of the unit. You can use it as it is or replace the cord. b1
