Especially the Stingray had become a recognizable staple in pro basses arsenal because of its unique aggressive mid growl and tone shaping abilities with its powerful 18v pre. This bass has all that plus a 5 way strategy like switch and coil tapped reverse wound single coil pickups grouped as humbuckers. The switch can access bridge pickup single-coil only, bridge humbuckers, both humbuckers, neck single-coil, and finally neck humbuckers. Add this with the powerful 18V 3-BAND pre and the tones one can get are ENDLESS. Plus this bass body looks like a mirror with no scratches, dents, blemishes, or even those little swirls the Lacquer gets just from setting on ones lap with jeans. I was almost afraid to handle it because except for one small minute scratch between Frets on the fretboard lacquer which just happened when one of the new DR strings I was putting on it knicked it. It even has the protective wrap on the battery backer. The cool thing about thus bass is it has the traditional Fender headstock which gives it a more traditional Fender look as well.
