New Wave Screamin Meanie. The available Screamin Meanie is the boat on the far left in the photo. Excellent condition. super fast and responsive 1-18 cut. Length is 116. $400New Wave was started and owned by John Schreiner. John started out building kayaks part-time in peoples garages. When he went full time into kayak stuff he also owned Central PA Kayak school he formalized the existance of New Wave. For most of its existance it was located on Roundtop Rd, just outside of Middletown. The business went under in the 90s and John went into the business of making rotomolding ovens for a while. His brother, Paul, still makes kayaks many of them extremely similar to Johns designs, hint, hint. Pauls company is called PS composites and the URL is httpwww.customkayak.comNew Wave was at its peak during the squirt boat fad of the 80s. They made the Scalpel, Jet, Projet, Bigfoot, Screaming Meanie, etc. They transitioned into plastic boats with the Cruise Control and the Sleek and 1 or 2 others. They made one fairly contemporary competitive for the era playboat called the Strobe.
