This classically cool vintage piece is a post-modern art pottery platter produced in Canada by John Bergen Studio. The piece has a large, functional size, and measures 14 inches long by 12 inches wide by 1.75 inches in height. It has a footed design 4 feet elevating it when used on a table top. It could be used in the traditional manner or could also be hung as wall art. It would look great in a mid century modern setting.It was completely hand made and hand painted. The glaze is in a matte finish and is very pleasing. The platter is etched on the back B89 indicating the artists initial and that it was produced in 1989. It is in like-new, beautiful condition.It could easily be used to serve at a party, an informal dinner, placed as wall art, or used as a piece to hold fruit. The colors of this piece would go with solid-color dishware and even look cool with blue and white-patterned dishes to mix things up a bit.
