Description

Beautiful 50 boat slip at Emerald Point Marina with a 1981 Chris Craft Commander 410. $89,000Emerald Point is THE top marina on Lake Travis. Ship Store on sight, dry dock storage for smaller boats, and of course the Emerald Point Bar and Grill. This is the marina that puts on the annual Christmas Lighted Boat Parade and afterparty. There are also other events like the US13 parade that we participated in last summer. Imagine partying all evening at the Grill, and then retiring to your 41 yacht for the night. This 50 slip currently rents for about $900mo.The boat is awesome. The commander is the ultimate party boat. You can fit as many friends as you want as long as you have that many lifejackets on board. I had about 20 on this yacht during the US13 parade. Since it is a yacht class, only your sense of judgement is the limit. This commander has two bedrooms a small kids room up front and the master suite in the back. The master bathroom has a new toilet head with shower and sink. There is no toilet currently at the front bath, but the shower and sink work fine. This boat has just undergone an extensive interior restoration. New vinyl flooring throughout. New pine paneling as well, but we tried to keep as much of the original teak as possible. We rearranged the kitchen for a better party layout, and put a double door fridge in it. The headliner has been replaced in the salon, the aft cabin, and the forward cabin as well as the main cockpit area. Each of these areas also got new 12V LED lighting with dimmer knobs as well. The furniture inside and outside is also new. The boat has two new AC systems from MarineAir one for the main salon, and one for the master bedroom. New fresh water pump for the sinksshowers. New hot water heater. The original aluminum holding tank poop tank was removed, relined in epoxy, and reinstalled. It is located under the floor boards in the engine room so this was a very labor intensive operation. The boat had horrible outdoor carpeting on all the decks when we bought it. We removed the carpet and scrubbed the deck to remove all the hold adhesive. This was a big deal. All the teak has been refinished, and we get compliments on it all the time. This Commander is powered by twin 454 Chevrolets. It has closed cooling the engine only sees antifreezecoolant and not lakewater. They run well and dont have too many hours. I can get photo of hour meter if interested. The transmission is a Paragon solid transmission. I just changed all the fluids. The windlass anchor is a Maxwell unit with chain. Originally this yacht came with a 58 rope windlass, but I wasnt comfortable anchoring in Devils Cove with just a 58 rope. Now it has chain and it will hold this boat in a 30mph windThe flybridge works and has a recent bimini top. It is a blast to cruise the lake from this level. This Commander had a $5000 bottom job in 2021, and all the through hulls were replaced. This means you dont have to worry about leaks for many years to come. These commanders are know to be tanks, and they are some of the best built boats out there I am trying to get the generator running. It pops the fuse when you crank the starter. The AC and fridge works when the boat is hooked up to shore power but not on battery. I have a new inverter for the power outlets so you can still make frozen daiquiris when away.I know that a lot of people are looking at $500K-$1M boats out there, but dont have a slip to put them. Save your money. This yacht is like a classic Ferrari Testarossa. Its a classic and will get you more respect than that 2023 Ferrari in the show room and there is nothing else on Lake Travis like it. I know of a few other Chris Crafts, but they dont even run used for air BB so youll have a one of a kind boat out there.thanks for looking and reading, and I do not need help selling this boat.Possible partial trade for musclecar project Camaro SS, z28, trans am, formula, mach 1 or shelby mustang or t-top fox body, corvette, barracuda, charger, GTX, Road runner, Chevelle, K5 Blazer, Grand National, etc. No complete rust outs and nothing fully restored. I would like to keep value under $50K. Also possible trade for 4wd backhoe to get my house ready for market. I sold a 2002 New Holland 555E a few years ago and regret it. I need to move large boulderslandscaping blocksbuild some walls.
