Regulation adjustments should be done once every few years, at least, to compensate for normal wear and tear, humidity changes, and the passage of time. Unfortunately, most piano owners eventually let their instrument get out of regulation, due to lack of use, andor to avoid the extra expense involved in maintaining peak performance.
