Antique 5hp Elgin boat motor in great shape This motor was used a few times and then was stored in a dry barn for many, many years. It still has all the extra shear pins for the prop. All the knobs, adjustments, gas cap, etc. seems to be free and easy to turn. It appears to have the original pull rope. This motor is like brand new, even though it is very oldModel no 571-58561. Made between 1951-1952. Two-cylinder, full reverse.Ive done nothing to it. I havent had the chance to cleaned it up I did make sure that the engine turns over freely. Im sure that all it will need is the plugs cleaned and some fresh gas and it should run like a new one. At the very most, the carb. may need cleaning.I truly enjoy getting these older projects up running, but I finally realized that I have way, way too many projects and will never get to them all. I bought several pieces of equipment from this same older farmer and if this motor is like everything else, it will need very little to get it running again. Will sell for $150.00 or best offer.
