A well used, well loved Alden 18 Scull. It can be rowed single or double. Comes with one Oarmaster drop in rowing unit and a pair of F Collar wooden oars. It is cosmetically fair to good but is completely functional. This is a great boat to learn on, stable, forgiving and reasonably fast when you get the stroke down. It was exactly what I needed and wanted. Earlier in its life it was left out in the weather so the finish was chalky. I have worked it over with marine rubbing compound and marine polish which came out pretty well. The hull needed fiberglass repair in three spots. I put on two layers of cloth and resin. The gel coat is beyond my competence. It could also be painted. The seat and oars have been refinished with 7 coats of Epifanes marine varnish.I have been primarily interested in learning to row so I did enough to get it functional without much worry for appearance.
