1999 Chaparral 290For many boaters this popular Chaparral Cruiser strikes the right mix of quality, comfort, and performance. She was considered a very stylish boat when new and has aged gracefully. Her generous 99 beam results in a spacious and notably versatile interior.The layout is a little different from most mid-cabin designs the V-berth is all the way forward followed by an aft-facing wraparound dinette that you have to climb over to reach the V-berth that spans the full width of the interior. A highlow table converts the dinette into a double berth, while the aft cabin is separated from the main salon with a privacy door rather than just a curtain.The cockpit is arranged in two sections a three-person bench seat stows away in the transom, and a large U-shaped settee is forward, opposite the helm.
