In 2017, the Mirage Oasis came with the Mirage 180ST drive. This allows the pedals to work in reverse in addition to moving forward. This is incredibly helpful, especially if you have every used the older versions and is one of my favorite upgrades. You simply pull the reverse lever and the fins flip around under the kayak. Please note that this kayak comes with 2 MD180ST drives, not one of the MD180 Kick-up fins as shown in the photo. In 2015, hobie introduced the Vantage seats. These are the reason why you should not consider purchasing any Hobie older that 2015. The last 2 numbers on the serial number etched on the hull is the model year. A true game changer, these seats are exceptionally comfortable and adjustable height, recline and lumbar. The Mirage Oasis is a bit longer and narrower than the Mirage Compass Due Tandem making it faster yet still a very stable kayak for any body of water including the ocean. As you can see from the photos, everything is in good shape with minimal wear as expected on a 5 year old Kayak.
