You know the deal. The good, the bad, and the ugly, in no particular order1988 Toyota Supra 5-speed 3.0 Project Car needs work.Non turbo.164k miles.5-speed.Needs motor work head gasket.Needs body work. Not wrecked but needs complete body work and paint. Lots of dents and scratches. DIY blue paint job. Was red. Driver door opens farther than it should. Im not sure what to do with this so Im listing it for sale. Ive always wanted a Supra and bought this from a friend to get it out of their hay barn. Its been in there since their son joined the army. He drove it during school and when home on breaks. The last time home he started it and white smoke billowed out. Shut it down and parked in barn. Covered in straw and dust. I think Ive got too many projects to tackle this one so maybe it would make a good winter project for you. This family had been spending a lot of money on the car and the head gasket was the last straw for them. It has replacement injectors and most of the hoses and stuff on engine. A nice young local guy Lucas followed us home after seeing the car on the trailer and told us all about this model of Supra as he has one too. He was very enthusiastic about it and said they are popular for drifting and auto cross if you take the power seats and stuff out. He said this has the high performance 7M GE motor or something like that.He also mentioned 4 wheel disc brakes, double wishbone suspension all around, Limited Slip Differential Posi, rear wheel drive, etc... He said there are a lot of good parts here but that if it was his hed just fix the head gasket and drive it vs. parting it out. Of course I tried to get him to buy it...he would if he could Thanks Lucas for all the information and helping to get it off the trailer. These cars have a pretty loyal following. In this case literally, but apparently throughout the country as well.If you want to check it out let me know and feel free to post it to any Toyota forums and thanks for that.According to Wikipedia every single Supra has or had a bad head gasket at around 75k miles. The fix for this is a metal gasket and proper torque. If emailing about this please mention Non Turbo in email so I know this is not computer generated scam... You know the deal.Or Please call or text for more information. Thanks
