This Gibson 36 fiberglass house boat has a completely rebuilt interior. We lived aboard for almost 7 years and even had our second child onboard yes, on purpose Come check out this sweet little spot very convenient to the interstate and downtown New Orleans. She has made it through multiple Hurricanes unfazed Enjoy the sunrise waking up on the water. The sunsets arent bad either 36 long on deck with a 12 beam. She has a steering station inside and a disconnected steering station above. Volvo Penta IO has many new parts and runs well. Very functional galley has a large sink, under counter reverse osmosis water filter, full sized refrigerator, 2 burner propane stove and oven, hardwood countertop, upper and lower cabinets and pantry. The upper level has a settee for seating and storage, helm area, hanging closet, hardwood blinds and large shelving for plants, books etc. The head has cabinet and medicine cabinet storage, a marine toilet connected to a 30 gallon holding tank and a tiled tubshower combo. Aft area has a horseshoe settee around a black walnut table and some open space where I had considered putting a desk. New cushions and curtains throughout. Not a lot done to the exterior, but new nonskid was sprayed on the decks during the main refit about 7 years ago. Also at that time, new stringers were put in using a synthetic honeycomb core vs the plywood that had rotted away. All rot around the windows and at the cabin to deck seam was removed and new plywood installed. The engine has new exhaust risers and hose, a new power steering pump, new water pumps, a new starter, new plugs and cables, a new water intake system as the one built into the outdrive corroded too badly to be repaired, new hydraulics for the outdrive tilt and trim, recent bottom paint on the outdrive and new zincs. Bottom was last painted fall 2019. Boat is registered and titled in Louisiana. We had a survey done in 2021 valuing the boat at $36,000.
