We bought this boat a little more than a year ago to take advantage of all the boating opportunities here in North Eastern Alabama. We made this boat as close to bullet proof as we could. We have receipts for more than $8,900 in repairsparts and service since we bought the boat. We replaced the engine with a remanufactured 260HP Mercruiser 5.7L GM V8, performed a complete preventative maintenance on the engine and systems. This work was done at Sand Mountain Marine in Horton. We replaced the lower unit of the outdrive with a rebuilt item from SEI and it was installed by J.R. Marine Service in Guntersville. We also installed a new bilge pump, new fuel filterwater separator, new fuel pump, new volt meter, new temp gauge and sending unit, new horn and horn button, new hoses and belts. The boat comes with a set of 4 new dock lines, 4 dock fenders, a new set of 4 life preservers, an anchor with chain and rode, and a Garmin ECHOMAP UHD2 53cv GPS chart plotterfish finder with GT20-TM transducer. It also has two spare props a 15P, a 19P new in box and a 21P Stainless Steel prop installed. We will also provide the new owner with a brand new winterizing kit and if youd rather not use that we will also include a bilge heater that kept the engine from becoming a casualty in last Decembers hard freeze. We will also provide a new in the box Standard Horizon VHF radio and GPS antenna. There is a VHF antenna installed on the boat with antenna lead under the dash at the helm. We installed a new bimini with a storage cover, It has a bow cover, a snap on cockpit cover weve never tried to put it on, a fitted canvas boat cover and a universal waterproof boat cover. Some of the upholstery has been replaced and some of it original. It is in good, serviceable condition and given some care, will last for many more seasons of boating. The gelcoat on this boat is shiny with no signs of oxidation. There is little evidence of dock rash which is a testament to how this boat has been treated throughout its life. The boat rides smooth given its deep V hull. On our last outing on Lake Guntersville, we cruised up to Scottsboro for lunch from Guntersville with 4 people on board and we zipped along at 36 MPH 3,200 RPM. Top speed should be a little over 50 MPH with the 21P prop but we havent tried it, because of the new engine break-in period.But wait theres more. We didnt forget about the trailer. It has a brand new surge brake controllercoupler, new safety chains, new hydraulic brake lines, new brake assemblies from ETrailer, new wheel bearings all around, new hubs on the rear axle, new Bearing Buddies on all four wheels of the trailer, new bow roller, new winch strap, and all new LED trailer lighting. The boat tows easy and with the new brake controller and brakes, it will stop on a dime.Our situation has changed and we are not going to be able to take advantage of the boat as we had imagined a year ago. If you are looking for a turn-key boat that you wont have to spend money on, this just may be the boat for you. We are lifetime boaters and know what it takes to make a boat seaworthy.
