1974 23 Seacraft Sceptre, fully refurbished and modernized in 2011 by present owner This most desired Potter-built hull was stripped to bare glass, then rebuilt and converted from an IO to an outboard with a Hermco fiberglass bracket and a new 250 hp Evinrude Etec. The wiring, switches, lighting, electronics, hardware, trim tabs, gas tank, steering, windows, and seats - every single thing that was not fiberglass- was replaced with new. Carolina Yachts in Beaufort fabricated a custom yacht quality cabin with 65 headroom and painted the entire boat boat with Awlgrip. With the soft curtains raised, the cockpit measure 12 long. all windows open for ventilation. In cooler weather, the soft curtains can be quickly replaced with an included Star Board bulkhead with double doors and a cabin carpet placed. With the included propane heater, the cabin is cozy on the coldest days. The Etec engine gets fuel economy comparable to a 4 stroke, with far less maintenance. Always starts on first key turn with never a cough, sputter, or miss, and has only ever burned XD100 oil and non-ethanol gas. 292 easy hours according to recent engine history report. Engine data shows on the networked Garmin 740 GPSsounder. 3 gph at 30 mph.
