This spectacular 48x72 original oil was painted in 1927 by listed artist Christian Seimer. The artist was born in New Zealand in 1874. Christian Siemer settled in los Angeles in 1906 and remained a resident until his death on February 6, 1940. He is best remembered for a series of mural-size canvases of Los Angeles which were commissioned by the Chamber of Commerce to promote the area.This early work of San Pedro Harbor was painted in 1927 and is in perfect original condition. It is framed in a custom 22Karat 5 frame making the total outside dimention 58 x 82Photos cannot do this museum piece justice.This piece last sold at auction for $8000 quite a few years ago.A similar, but not as well painted piece, was listed at the John Moran Auction with a value from $12,000 to $15,000.We will accept $10,000 cash or credit card. It will come with a certificate of authenticity putting the value at $15,000.It will be on display at the Long Beach Flea Market tomorrow, Sunday, October 15th. I sincerely doubt I will be delivering it back to the gallery.
